Weekend Meatloaf with Pear Fig Glaze

Ingredients:

1 Pound Ground Turkey
¾ Pound Ground Pork
1 Cup Peeled, Grated Pear
2 Teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
½ Cup Finely Chopped Shallots
1 Tablespoon Chopped Fresh Sage
¼ Cup A Perfect Pear – Pear Fig Jam
3 Tablespoons A Perfect Pear Spicy Ginger Pear Mustard
1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
¼ Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
¾ Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
3 eggs, Lightly Beaten

 

Glaze:
¼ Cup A Perfect Pear – Pear Fig Jam
1 Tablespoon Honey
1/8 Teaspoon Hot Pepper Sauce

 

 


Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan.

In a large bowl, combine turkey, pork, grated pear, lemon juice, shallots, sage Perfect Pear – Pear Fig Jam, A Perfect Pear Spicy Ginger Pear Mustard, breadcrumbs, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper and eggs.

Place mixture in the prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees F until cooked through and lightly browned, for about one hour and thirty minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.

Meanwhile mix glaze ingredients: in a small microwave safe bowl combine ¼ Cup A Perfect Pear – Pear Fig Jam, honey and hot sauce. Microwave on high 45 seconds or until heated through. Stir to combine. Brush glaze over top of meat loaf during final 10 minutes of cooking.

Let cool 5 to 10 minutes. Slice and place on a serving platter and garnish with fresh sage, if desired.
